Sooo.... I overslept today....
So now I kind of have that, "I let myself down, now I feel gross and bummed out all day" feeling. Well, I can't rewind the day since my time machine is STILL out of commission.... ridiculous.... but I can do little things throughout the day since today there is no time for a make-up session.
I can go for a couple of walks, maybe adding some extra distance to the mailbox or from the parking lot to the door.... I can make sure I hold my core in tight, because let's be honest, that's something we should do every day to help our posture and do some serious overtime on those ABS! I can choose to take the steps instead of the elevator and maybe pick up the pace when I'm walking around.
One thing I'm DEFINITELY going to do is keep my nutrition on point so I'm not adding to the stress.... I've had to go daaaaays and weeeeks without working out before {enter bad mood here} but it didn't completely reverse my progress because I made sure to watch WHAT I was eating and HOW MUCH I was eating because it's 80% FOOD and 20% FITNESS. Say you workout for 30 minutes to an hour in the morning, how many times do you eat per day? Ideally it should be 6.... 3 FULL MEALS and 3 SNACKS. Considering your workout to food consumption ratio, it's about an 80/20 split so you can't rely on your 30 minute workout to overcome all of the heavy saturated foods you may have consumed that day. Does that mean you can eat healthy and not workout? Sure? But it's not a good idea.... Our bodies are like a car.... just like a car, our fuel is food, which we need to survive or "run". BUT, if we don't drive the car, the parts get "rusty" and after sitting too long they don't function properly.... Our bodies are like that and need movement.... Our heart is a muscle.... it needs to be worked out just like the other muscles in your body. So even if you don't care much about toning up, you need to do what's good for your body and stay active.
On that note, I'm going to go for a walk now!
Stay Awesome!
